Azerbaijan offers single television and radio portal for Turkic-speaking peoples of world – nar.tv
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. AG Telekom (a company operating under brand KATV1) has presented nar.tv, a single TV and radio portal for the Turkic-speaking peoples of the world, at international exhibition CeBIT Eurasia Bilisim 2010.
The Company reports that its newly-established portal was presented at a separate stand together with Turksoy, cultural organization of Turkic countries.
The decision to create nar.tv was made in early 2010 in Ankara, Turkey, within the meeting of Turksoy’s director general Duysen Kaseyinov, AG Telekom president Samira Gurbanova and representatives of UK’s Crown Capital Management Ltd.
Currently the portal is running in test mode and broadcasts for the Turkic-speaking countries – Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. In the future the portal is expected to include own TV and radio channels of non-sovereign state formations of Turkic-speaking peoples.
Portal nar.tv differs from its analogs by technical innovations. In particular, this site’s users may in parallel with direct broadcasting of television and radio channels, watch full 10-day archive of all the broadcasted channels, download as a file separately made programs or episodes of broadcasted channels. Internet users can exchange things they watched in various social networks that are accessible through nar.tv. Besides, on the page of each channel the user can familiarize with a detailed program of the television broadcasts.
Free broadcasting of about 20 channels is planned at nar.tv. The portal will also create special paid packages of various genres.
